Once again another Winchester's Pickle Festival has come and gone. This is a great event that brings good times to our community and draws people in from other towns. It gives friends and neighbors and chance to get out and mingle on our main st. and by the looks of all the smiles on the children's faces looks like they enjoy it also.
This may be one of the only times when we get some positive publicity in the local papers and people all work together to make it happen.
It would be great to see more events like this in our town, Most people feel that is the benefit of living in a small community. Does anyone have any ideas of events we could do?
And again, Thank you to all who work hard to make this event happen for us, Your work is greatly appreciated and you all deserve a big applause.

We also attended the Pickle Festival again this year It is almost like an old home day, Great weather wonderful parade Sitting on main street catching up with old friends and enjoying the wonderful entertainment and food. I just have a few concerns that I would like to see addressed in the future, Way too many dogs in such a crowded venue, and the girl walking around with the snake wrapped around her neck should have been asked to leave, I see no reason to allow that to go on With a police presence. I was amazed that she was allowed to parade back and forth most of the day, I know I am not the only person that those actions made very uncomfortable. Comments ???? Other than those two issues it was a wonderful day

We are seeing all the newspaper story's about our town and some of its boards and people,
How come something that brings our town together and creates a great family day to get out and visit with neighbors and give a opportunity for our non profits to make some money as the Pickle festival does doesn't get the same attention from local newspapers?
Something to think about.
