ELMMCC home run derby. Money raised will go toward new playground equipment at the center for our community.
ELMMCC Home run derby 2010
Sat., May 29th
9 am Winchester Orioles vs. Vernon Dodgers
10 am Home Run Derby
• 10:00 Winchester Tigers
• 11:00 Winchester Mariners
• 12:00 Winchester Orioles
• 50/50 Adult Competition
8:30 am Concession Stand Opens
10:30 am Kona Ice Truck Arrives
Home Run Derby rules:
Each team is slotted for 60 minutes.
Pledged players will receive 10 pitches, longest hit will be recorded. Pledges will be collected the team coach or designee by June 5th. Prizes will be ordered June 7th with an expected delivery date of June 14th.
Adult 50/50
$10.00 Registration Fee
Coaches, parents and other adults can participate after each team has competed
Winner receives half the proceeds from the adult derby. Each adult (ladies and gentlemen will compete separately) will receive 5 machine pitched balls. ELMM bat must be used. Most home runs wins. In the case of no home runs longest hit wins
All Home Run Derby Day proceeds will benefit the purchase of new playground equipment.
Mon., May 31st
All players meet in uniform in Winchester’s VFW parking lot at 9:30 am. Players who wish to march with another group (ie; school or town band, scouts) are asked to either wear your baseball caps or your uniform shirt to represent your team.
Parade begins at 10 am and stops in the center of town for the lowering of the flag ceremony. Parade continues to Winchester’s cemetery. Parents should meet there at the cemetery for pick up.
Players and coaches please remember to remove your hats during the lowering of the flag, the singing of “Star Spangled Banner and “Taps”.

Welcome Winchester & Ashuelot residents
Here we are, a brand new blog site for you to talk about all the positive things we love about our town. We hope to see people and organizations use this blog to promote Winchester in a good way. Many of us already know about all the great things Winchester & Ashuelot has to offer but some of you may not. We welcome individuals and organizations like, Ellen Lambert Murphy Memorial Community Center, United Church of Winchester, Grace Christian Fellowship, Assembly of God, Winchester Learning Center, Town officials, Town Departments & Boards, Historical society, Red Hats society, C.A.S.T., W.G.Y.B., Kiwanis, Mt Pisgah Sportsman Club, V.F.W., Arlington Grange, St. Stanislaus Church, Pickle Festival, Ashuelot Headstart, Conant Library, Thayer Library, Ashuelot Village & Children's Fund, Winchester Elementary School, and all the rest of the great places and groups we have in town.
